A child on the taller side can go as Mr. Spock, complete with insignia embroidered on his shirt. Great accessories would include Vulcan ears, a dark wig with a bowl cut, and a tiny bit of eye makeup.

Involve your child's friends with the idea to enhance the feeling of fun when they all don Star Fleet uniforms and act like crew members of the star ship Enterprise. Showing up together as the crew of ship from Star Trek will both surprise and delight the rest of the guests at the costume party.

Do-it-yourself Star Trek costumes for the rest of the kids may suffice, especially if you have an authentic one already at hand which you can easily copy.

For the boys, you could go with a long sleeve V-neck shirt and slim-fitting pants or even an undersized single color jumpsuit with black turtleneck. The male uniform costumes from Star Trek are usually created from a single color long sleeve top and dark or black trousers.
